We some times send the email to a wrong person and we think
what to do for the cancellation or undo of the email that you have send .Google
have come up with a solution to this problem. You could cancel the send mail by
the undo option that is available in Gmail. But you have only 30 sec to undo
the send mail.
To undo the send mail just follow this simple steps
- Go to the gear icon in the top-right corner of your Gmail window and open Settings from the menu.
- In General setting, scroll down for Undo Send, which is disabled by default .
- Click Enable and select a cancellation period up to 30 seconds
- Hit Save Changes at the bottom .
Once you have done with the above steps ,when ever you send
a mail, you will get a yellow colour dialog box that displays "Your message has been sent,"
giving you an option to Undo it. When you Click on undo, the email will reopen,
un-sent, in the composition window.
For now, Undo Send feature is not available for the Gmail
mobile app for smartphone devices. However, the company is planning to roll out
the feature for the mobile app soon.
